I bought these marker sticks to mark areas on my property where I do NOT want to go with my snow plow. They are clearly visible in deep snow, because of there long length, and very durable when run over or grazed by the plow. I live in northern Minnesota so when it gets to -20F and lower the marker sticks get very brittle and will break when struck by anything directly. Of course, the purpose of the marker stick is to keep you away from them so they are not supposed to be struck, so I really can't complain much about this.
